PYOL: Pack Your Own Lunch!

Sick of school lunch? Make a nutritious and fun-to-eat meal that will have the entire lunchroom envious!

Snack-Pak:

  • 1 cup grapes
  • 1 cup mixed veggies
  • 1 serving whole grain pita
  • 3 Tbsp hummus or 1 Tbsp Ranch or dip
  • 1 serving deli meat

Club Sandwich:

  • 2 slices whole grain bread (should be at least 3 g fiber per slice)
  • 2 slices turkey, ham and roast beef
  • 1 slice cheese
  • 2 slices lettuce and tomato
  • 1 Tbsp mayonaise
  • serve with 1 serving chips

Left-overs:

  • 1 cup chili
  • 1 cup brown rice
  • 1 Tbsp shredded cheese or reduced-fat sour cream
  • serve with steamed veggies
