burning caloriesPosted: February 1, 2010
Burning an increased number of calories, especially through physical activity over the number of calories taken in on a daily basis is called a negative caloric balance and results in weight loss. This method typically will not result in rapid weight loss but because of all the other beneficial aspects of exercise, is arguably the healthiest method for long term weight management.
The goal of Camp Endeavor located in the Wisconsin Dells area in central Wisconsin is to empower youth to attain and manage their weight through active, healthy and safe lifestyle choices. Campers, who spend either two or four weeks at camp, slowly and safely increase the number of calories expended through physical movement while learning sport, recreational and fitness activities. The result are campers who regain optimal use of their bodies and who continue to lose weight after returning home.
