The benefits of regular exercise are not limited to physiological aspects but include psychological benefits as well. One of the most important is to decrease daily and chronic stress. Exercise does this by the release of endorphins in the brain which reduce pain and induce a sense of well-being. It also helps by creating an outlet from daily tension and anxiety. With less stress Camp Endeavor campers begin to feel more energized and alive which in turn leads to more healthy activity, more weight loss and even better management of stressors.
