So what is the daily requirement of sugar?

Zero, zip, nada, nadita!

It’s true: our body does NOT need sugar!!!! It does not add value to the millions of cells in our living organism, does not enrich the thousand fold of functions either. It does nothing good for us! Sugar does not do one good thing for our body.

It sweetens food – yes. And our taste buds like sweetened flavors. And it adds calories. Empty calories.

Can you guess how much of the sweet stuff we do eat?

Life is sweet, so sweet that each of us will eat the sugar equivalent of 3,628 Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups in the next 12 months. That’s 140 pounds of the sweet stuff or the weight of a fully grown male deer or Tom Cruise. Ick.
